Interior Designer
Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $50,000–$55,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonuses ($5K +)

Dogwood Proper is a full-service interior design firm specializing in timeless, high-quality residential interiors. With a presence in both Nashville, TN, and Houston, TX, we create extraordinary spaces tailored to our clients’ lifestyles. We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Interior Designer with a least 2-5 years of professional experience to join our team in Nashville. If you have a strong design foundation, technical drafting skills, and a keen eye for materials and finishes, we’d love to hear from you.
Role & Responsibilities
As an Interior Designer, you will work closely with our senior designers and project managers, assisting in all aspects of the design process, from concept development to final installation. Responsibilities include:

Drafting floor plans, elevations, and design details using AutoCAD

Creating 3D models in SketchUp or Revit (preferred)

Assisting with material and finish selections, including fabrics, stone, tile, paint, and millwork

Sourcing products from showrooms and online vendors

Preparing design presentations using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)

Supporting procurement and project management using Studio Designer (a plus)

Communicating with vendors and contractors to ensure project success

Tracking orders, budgeting, and maintaining detailed project documentation

Collaborating on mood boards and design concepts for client presentations in Canva
Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 2–5 years minimum working in an interior design firm

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field

Software Proficiency: AutoCAD (required), SketchUp/Revit (preferred), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Canva, Enscape/Lumion/V-Ray (a plus), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar), Asana (a plus)

Strong Organizational & Communication Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, interact professionally with clients, and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Skills: Hand sketching ability and familiarity with high-end residential design are a plus
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $50,000–$55,000, based on experience
