Welcoming Ella: Dogwood Proper’s New Associate Designer

At Dogwood Proper, we believe that great design is more than just beautiful spaces; it's about relationships and it’s about people, passion, and the stories that bring homes to life. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce you to our newest team member, Ella, Associate Designer at Dogwood Proper.

A Spark for Design, Rooted in Home

Raised in Jupiter, Florida, Ella’s love for design was sparked at an early age, staying up late with her mother watching HGTV and touring homes on the market. Those moments nurtured not only a shared passion but also a deep appreciation for how thoughtful design can make a house truly feel like home.

Ella carried that passion into her studies, earning a degree in Interior Architecture and Design from Florida State University. After earning her degree, Ella moved to Nashville to begin her career with Dogwood Proper.

Creativity Meets Technical Precision

With strong technical skills in CAD, Revit, Photoshop, and Enscape, Ella brings both artistry and precision to every project. Her approach reflects our own philosophy: homes should be personal, livable, and enduring. She has a discerning eye for luxury furnishings and carefully selected pieces that not only look beautiful but are built to last, grounding each design in comfort and quality.

A Welcome Energy at Dogwood Proper

From the moment she joined our team, Ella jumped right in. She is not one to wait for direction; her initiative and ability to quickly learn have been an incredible addition. In just a few short months, she has helped wrap up our Belle Meade project installation (can't wait to share that project with y'all), played a key role in our first pop-up and shop setup, and fully embraced the fast pace of client work while onboarding seamlessly into our processes. Her natural energy, problem-solving spirit, and willingness to dive in have made it feel as though she’s been part of Dogwood Proper all along.

Growing Together

We especially love that Ella was drawn to Dogwood Proper because of our intimate, boutique approach to design. She values the personal, client-focused relationships that define our work—and we can already see her thriving and growing with us.

As we look toward the rest of the year and beyond, we are grateful for the spark Ella has brought to our team. With her passion, precision, and perspective, we know she will continue to help us design homes that reflect not only timeless beauty but also the people who live in them.
